A 40-minute trip to the doctor's office early Friday afternoon found Paul and Laurie Shuman stifled with panic and uncertainty as they watched glimpses of their home go up in flames through ADT security camera system videos on Paul's phone. "I could see the flames coming right up to the fence and going to my neighbor's yard," Paul said. Like other families in the eastern Bay County area, the Shumans were getting settled into a new home on Whitehead Road after losing their home in Lynn Haven during Hurricane Michael in October 2018.
