In a battle between the SEC's top gymnastics teams Friday night, the No. 4 Florida Gators came out on top against No. 5 LSU.
The 198.150 the Gators put up was the fourth-highest score in the nation this season, and it was just enough to hold off the Tigers. Nya Reed recorded a perfect 10.0 to highlight Florida's incredible 49.800 in the floor exercise, and the Gators improved to 8-0.
Florida now has the second- and fourth-highest scores this season (they had 198.250 on Jan. 28 vs. Arkansas). Next up: Another ranked opponent in No. 10 Kentucky.
