As part of our planting project in Burundi with plantwithpurpose, the people of Burundi were able to learn the importance of native trees. 🌲 Contrary to the community’s popular belief that insidious tree species had too slow of a growth pattern and late harvest, educators showed that native trees actually improved soil fertility and contributed to erosion control.  By getting the youth and the greater community involved, it began the process of restoring the environment for a better future. ❤️ We are so grateful to have teamed up with Plant with Purpose for this project so that we can inspire the love of trees in others for the long haul.  #TEAMTREES #PlantWithPurpose #Burundi
