I have long been aware that I’m working in (and a part of) a racially biased industry, where POC are strongly under represented — but I’ve never had the WILL to do anything about it. I’ve never called out a brand I’ve worked for on their less than diverse Instagram feed, or told a panel organizer that I think a black woman should be on this panel too, I’ve not thought hard enough about how much wider, deeper and better my own life, work and online community could be, would be — if I created a brand, a community that was much bigger than just (little old) ME and represents more ppl, more places, more cultures, more races, more acceptance, more love.
