Today, June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day.
This is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples 🧡
It is also an opportunity to reflect on our history and role in the ongoing process of colonization in Canada. Most importantly, it is a time to recommit to working in solidarity with Indigenous communities in the fight for justice and equity.
'Caps wore the hopeandhealth4l Light the Path orange t-shirt today on field. It was designed by Musqueam artist Debra Sparrow, qwasen, and grandsons Isaiah Baker-Sparrow and Cyler Point.
