📷: liliankhuuphotography // In partnership with ucalgarysapl, we’re launching the 9 Block program today to improve safety and vibrancy in the nine-block radius around City Hall. Students will work with us on creative, low-cost design solutions for the area. This work allows for thoughtful, innovative solutions to be developed for some of the issues that impact the area and provides real-world experience for students.⁣ ⁣ We’re focusing on three major project areas to make an impact:⁣ 🗺 Wayfinding⁣ 🎟 Programming⁣ 🤝 Partnerships⁣ ⁣ We’re exploring how we can improve connections and assessing how public spaces in the area can be better activated and used more often. ⁣ ⁣ A major part of this is working with social organizations, as the safety issues that exist in the area cannot be solved by moving them further away – they need to be addressed in a meaningful manner that supports all Calgarians who use this area. ⁣ ⁣ Learn more at calgary.ca/9block (link in bio). #downtownyyc #yyccomeba...
