Today marks the 71st anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s first game as a member of the Kansas City Monarchs. To celebrate, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum will host an annual program called Jazz & Jackie celebration tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Gem Theatre (1615 E. 18th Street). The event features a discussion with former KC Royals greats Willie Wilson and John Mayberry and includes a concert by Grammy nominated and Soul Train Music Award-winning artist Maysa Leaks.
