Lately I’ve been (no longer toying, but) deeply analysing what it means to love myself. I’ve realised that while I can easily generate love for others, I cannot just will myself to love myself. Simply because I couldn’t forgive myself as easily as I do anyone else.. The key ingredient here was active thought and post action review lol. I had to understand and forgive myself for the mistakes made, and put in conscious action to change them. I couldn’t love myself for who I was or wanted to be, but for my effort and intention. That, I realised, is the difference between anyone else and I - that my actions and my intentions are the only thing I can control and if they stem from love, how can I not love myself ????? Idk still thinking. . .
