Lafreniere is an electric player. Despite not having elite speed, Lafreniere is superbly-talented off the rush. His hands and dangles are ridiculous, as is his creativity and deception when the puck is on his stick. His vision in the offensive zone is second to none. He threads passing lanes, and is always aware where his passing options are. Even under pressure, Lafreniere is able to execute some sweet plays. His finishing ability is also stellar.
