One good story finished, but another will continue. 18-year-old Ilya Alekseev had an assist for Oakland while 19-year-old Ali Elmasnaouy scored the winning goal on his debut. Both are products of Project 51O, an academy/development team of Oakland, that just signed professional contracts this month. It will be interesting to follow the development of young players in Oakland’s squad.
