It's #NationalTileDay! The sun-washed, orange-red Cuban barrel shaped clay tile roof of the Stone House is a distinctive feature key to Mediterranean Revival architecture. In celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Stone House construction its own durable tiles have their time in the spotlight, or rather the Florida sunshine. Popular in the 18-19th Century, clay tiles were traditionally hand made from natural clay incorporating and shaped over the thigh resulting in unique variations in tile size and shape.
