APRIL THIRD TUESDAY In recognition of National Volunteer Month, our volunteer extraordinaire, Annalisa Smith, a 2024 graduating senior at UNC Charlotte, led our families through a service project to highlight the importance of volunteers for agencies like CCT and our FDT Program. Each FDT family transitioned from program participant to an actual volunteer and took on the task of preparing classroom supplies, art kits and pencil pouch kits for teachers across the Charlotte area. Our families learned about the Classroom Central initiative and dedicated an hour to volunteering by packing kits and writing thank you notes to the intended recipients. Our families enjoyed being the volunteers for a change and were able to express their appreciation to the educators who work tirelessly for them everyday.
