New restaurant in St. Pete: littlephillystpete in the grandcentralsp Get ready for chicken cutlets, Philly water (wooder) ice, and South Philly cheesesteaks at 2063 Central Ave. This Philly-inspired hub is the brainchild of Philadelphia-born-and-raised chef Sean Ford, and local business owner Renaud Cowez (who many will know from the successful Tryst on Beach Drive). The ribeye steak sandwiches here are served on 10 inch rolls. The main feature is “the works” made with mushrooms and sweet peppers, American cheese, pizza sauce and onions. Its other heavy hitter is the South Philly Cheesesteak made with roasted peppers, spinach and provolone cheese. South Philly favorites also feature on the menu. Chicken cutlets, sausage and pepper Sammies, a morning favorite of peppers and eggs, and even a mozzarella covered pizza burger are all available here.
