This stunning Manor House was built in 1863 as a home for flax spinner Alexander Low. Constructed in the Scots Baronial style, it is nestled in the West End of Dundee overlooking the River Tay. Throughout its time, Tay Park House has had a variety of purposes; it has been exclusive guest house, a nursing home and was at one point part of the University of Dundee. It is an excellent example of nineteenth century housing created for the prosperous flax and jute manufacturers during Dundee’s Victorian era.
