What an incredible moment for Liam and btc_elite yesterday! Sub-4 for the mustachioed man in the Mustache Mile!!! Liam was a high school state champ who struggled in college and lost some of his passion for the sport. Dreams of All-American honors and sub-4 miles slowly slipped away. It’s a sadly familiar story. But when Liam moved out to Portland for work he joined BTC and slowly rediscovered his love of the sport. He started primarily by giving back and coaching the btcyouth program, just hopping into Elite workouts here and there. Slowly but surely that morphed into a bigger commitment to his own training and the return of big dreams on the track. This year he set personal bests at the 800, 1500, and 5,000 meter distances. And now, the granddaddy of them all, the sub-4 minute mile- on ESPN no less!
