RELAY MADNESS x EJI FUNDRAISER ⠀ And we’re back for another BTC Instrasquad meet! This Friday will be devoted exclusively to relays. First up will be a 4x1500m where the Men and Women will go after the American Records of 14:40.8 (3:40 per leg) and 16:55.33 (4:13 per leg). The Women may or may not also have their 👀 on the World Record of 16:33.58 (a shade under 4:08 per leg) set by the Kenyan team in 2014. In conjunction with these attempts we will be raising money for the Equal Justice Initiative, the organization founded by Bryan Stevenson to end mass incarceration, excessive punishment, and racial inequality by providing legal representation to people who have been illegally convicted, unfairly sentenced, or abused in state jails and prison. EJI’s operations also include a host of initiatives outside the courtroom aimed at changing the narrative on race in America and providing equal opportunity to all its citizens.
