Cadets have been here since 1872. That's why the Corps of Cadets is honored to be the first organization recognized as Virginia Tech launches an 18-month celebration of its 150th year. Throughout September, we will share stories about our unique role at the university. The Corps is the bridge between Virginia Tech's past and its future. Cadets are the keepers of tradition while they hone their skills to be the leaders of tomorrow. We are more than a military program — we inspire our students to serve their country and their community, and we equip them with character, confidence, and critical-thinking skills. Every cadet, past and present, has had a role in the 150-year legacy of Virginia Tech.
