You know, everyone struggles.đAt some point or another, whether we bark about it or not, we experience life's ruff stuff. And ruff stuff can seem much more challenging when we donât feel like we have supportive people to go to⌠so support team, Iâm looking at you!đÂ
Here are some pro tips for how to support someone who is struggling with their mental health:
đ Let them know you are grateful they trusted you enough to share.
đ Say less, listen more.  You arenât supposed to know how to âfixâ it, & likely, what they need from you most is care and support, NOT a solution.
đ Breathe! Slowww dowwwn. The calmer you are, the calmer they will be. There is no rush.
đ Keep the focus on them. Meaning: donât make it about you, your experiences, your reactions or feelings or worries, at least not right now.
