We’re celebrating National Undergraduate Research Week all week long, and today we’re highlighting two researchers who were recently recognized for their work. 🔍 Olivia Nicholson and Jack Diers were named 2023 Goldwater Scholars, one of the nation’s most distinguished academic awards for young scientists. 🔬 Olivia’s project uses Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy to image the interaction between individual fluorescently tagged proteins 👂 Jack’s research focuses on restoring and regenerating hearing loss Great job, Olivia and Jack! With 30 Goldwater Scholars in the past 19 years, Creighton is the No. 1 #Goldwater producer among Catholic universities.
