Best thumb picks in the land, y'all. I started using thumb picks because I was frustrated I couldn't use one pick between the electric and acoustic guitar. I felt that my skill on electric never transferred over to the acoustic and vice versa. Plus, now I have every finger available for tap and slap shreddage! It is the only way to converge fingerstyle and flat-picking between the acoustic and electric. I am not just an acoustic guitarist, so acrylic nails (or long, real nails...gross) are out of the question... you also can't really use them on the electric and when you're not performing, everyone looks at you like you're a hermit or cocaine addict. Thumb picks FTW. I used the white plastic thumb picks for several years until I was introduced to the Ultex material. Even though they aren't as durable as the regular white, the Ultex tone is unmatched by any other thumb pick I've tried.
