Meet Jacqualee! Jacqualee is one of our long-time student sponsors from the Seattle area. She is part of a group of 10 women who sponsor 14 girls from the remote community of Chikuyu in Malawi. The amazing part is that Jacqualee has visited the Chikuyu community twice, and has gotten to know our Malawi Country Director, beliamichembo ! 👏 We asked Jacqualee what motivates her to sponsor students through our ‘Education Is Power' program: “I know exactly where my donations are going. I’ve stayed in the Malawi village where these girls live. They wake at 5 am, sweep their dirt floors, haul water on their heads in heavy plastic bins, cook a pot of maize over an open fire, and THEN walk over 3 miles to high school.
