“What’s an Upstander?” It’s someone who knows it’s cool to be kind. Discipline, hard work, integrity...these are things I speak about often. These are principles I relentlessly try to teach my children not just in sport, but more importantly, in everyday life. Another principle I believe in is kindness...looking out for others and doing the right thing when nobody's watching. As parents, this is not always easy to teach, in fact, sometimes it’s really hard.
