HURLEY CUP - Fri. Dec. 30 we host the Halifax Mooseheads in game 1 of the first ever Hurley Cup! So why is it called the Hurley Cup? The game of Hurley was first taken to the ice by the boys of King’s College School in Windsor, NS around 1800 and over a period of decades adapted into what became known as hockey. Windsor, NS has since widely been adopted as the birthplace of hockey. The #HurleyCup not only honours the rich of the game but will serve as a symbol of superiority between Nova Scotia’s major junior hockey teams.
