Pistachio Sea Salt Caramel Matzo Crack✨
Happy Passover! For those who may be unfamiliar, Matzo is an unleavened bread with a cracker-like texture eaten during Pesach (Passover) to commemorate the Jewish Exodus from Egypt. While I was born Catholic, I’ve celebrated this holiday in the past and would love to share this recipe with you guys!💓
✨Ingredients:
•Matzos
•1 cup unsalted butter
•1 cup white sugar
•1/4 cup water
•1/4 cup roasted pistachios
•1 tbsp Maldon (flakey) salt
Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and place matzos on top; you may need to break some in half to cover the entire surface. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add sugar and water. Stir constantly using a wooden spoon. Using a candy thermometer, allow the toffee to reach 290°F and remove it from heat. Immediately pour on top of matzos and spread evenly using an offset spatula.
