Rarely is it accepted for athletes to open up about the racial obstacles they face. During our all-star camp, we had a panel where our coaches got to speak to college-bound Asian American athletes about taboo topics like this with the intention to show that they aren’t alone — that there’s people who have walked in there shoes before who can relate to their journey.
