North Torrance with the HUGE come from behind playoff victory last night! Down 12-0 right off the bat, the Saxons mounted a methodical comeback against Oxnard’s zone defense. (Sadly I could only capture the first half but they still put on a show!) All season long, they have been led by star sophomore Sam Yanagi, who exploded for 24 points in this one. The team as a whole is loaded with Asian American talent, including senior Dara Tokeshi, sophomore Karli Schwenke, and freshmen Kaylee Braceros, who stepped up big time in the late stages of this game. North has lost just two games all season but will be tested again on Saturday against 23-4 St. Pauls as they hope continue their historic run!
