Upon getting the call that I would be playing a golf course set up by the USGA, my focus immediately shifted to "damage control". A stern test of golf, the USGA Championships are setup to challenge players to plot their way through a round, and punishing anyone that fails to execute their plan of attack. My goal? Bogey golf. Keep the swing in tempo, aim for the center of greens, and try not to hit driver if I didn't need it.
