Your Saturday evening needs Dr. Wes Gehring in #Paris. In 1989, Sorbonne Université celebrated the 100th anniversary of Charlie Chaplin's birth. Dr. Gehring was invited to give a presentation during the event because of his 1986 book "Charlie Chaplin: A Bio-Bibliography." ⠀ ⠀ Dr. Gehring is the author of over 40 film-related books, including recent biographies of James Dean, Red Skelton, Steve McQueen, and Carole Lombard. Gehring has a doctorate in #filmstudies from the University of Iowa, where he was also a member of the undergraduate Iowa Writers' Workshop. ⠀ ⠀ His most recent book, published by McFarland Press in 2021, is "Charlie Chaplin and a Woman of Paris."
