One of my favorite weeks last year was our trip to Guatemala. Not only for the beauty of the country - but because Carleigh and I went with my mom and her parents, where we spent the first 4 days building homes in Chichicastenango for widows in need. The last 3 days were spent on Lake Atitlán, (pictured in the first 3 images above) - an absolutely gorgeous lake situated on a massive volcanic crater.
