🚨 Graphic surgery imagery 🚨 Some nice footage and images here of an unusual injury we are rehabbing currently in-clinic. Surgery was done under abbasian_foot_ankle for a distal tibial fracture with a dislocation of the tibialis posterior tendon. Mr Abbasian constructed a new groove for the tendon (due to the fracture making relocation complicated) and also repaired the deep surface of the tendon which had a tear - see 📸 The patient was in a boot for four weeks and was only allowed to have basic rehab including lots of passive mobility to mobilise the tendon in its ‘new groove’. Rehab is moving to strengthening work 💪🏻 ankle mobility and balance now, progress has been decent.
