Join us for a two-part drawing workshop presented in partnership with studiomuseum! Inspired by our current exhibition, ‘David Hammons: Body Prints, 1968-1979,’ the workshops will explore Hammons's body prints, a pivotal series of monoprints and collages in which the artist used the body as both a drawing tool and printing plate to explore performative, unconventional forms of image making. The free online workshops (via zoom on Wednesday, May 5 and May 12 at 6pm EDT), will be led by teaching artist Blake Paskal the_gayze. Building upon participatory discussions on David Hammons’s body print series, the workshops will encourage participants to explore how they can create their own prints by using the body as a drawing tool. To register (free) please click the link in our bio. Participation in both workshops is encouraged, but not required. ⁣⁣—⁣ Image: David Hammons, ‘Feed Folks,’ c. 1970.
