In celebration of the final days of "The Pencil Is a Key: Drawings by Incarcerated Artists," our galleries will be open late (12pm - 8pm) through this Sunday, January 5! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Born with a caul over his left eye, Frank Jones, an artist featured in “The Pencil Is a Key: Drawings by Incarcerated Artists” saw supernatural visions, beginning in childhood, which he identified as “haints” or “devils.” Jones began his drawing practice while incarcerated and featured supernatural scenes filled with spiked horns, clocks, and devils trapped inside their own prisons.
