Dennis RedMoon Darkeem’s practice critiques social and political issues affecting US and indigenous Native American cultures. His art focuses on issues related to institutionalized racism and classism, jarring stereotypes, and the displacement of people of color. To My Dearest Brother, 15272 is a drawing, painting, and letter of love to his younger brother, who has been incarcerated since he was 19.
