“Open Sessions 2018-20: What's Love Got to Do with It?" on-view through Sept 15 is the full-museum exhibition of the third cycle of The Drawing Center’s Open Sessions program - a two-year artists’ residency with thirty one participants from around the world. Featuring new work by Open Session artists, “What’s Love Got to Do with It?” will include works on paper, video, multimedia and sculpture, as well as installation, all of which place contemporary drawing at the center of an evolving conversation about love. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Johanna Unzueta’s experimentation with drawing started in 2013 with a series inspired by sets, subsets, and elemental mathematical exercises that suggested a relationship with the notion of clusters and collectives as a schema for organization.
