Open Sessions Artist 2018-20: Carolina Fusilier on the Creative Block and Process . “A therapy that has helped me a lot when the creative blocking begins to be a little more existential is going to the nearest park, sitting down on a bench with a coffee, an ice cream, a notepad, or nothing at all, and dedicate some time (could be 20 minutes or an hour) to watch any situation around. Sometimes it's just people walking by, talking, running, taking their dogs or kids for a walk, and sometimes animals around like squirrels climbing trees, birds, bugs, cats and, if you are lucky, maybe you get to see a peacock. It's a simple exercise of attention: seeing and perceiving things around me without complicating them with thoughts and try to be there with all these different creatures.” - Carolina Fusilier .
