Open Sessions Artist 2018-20: Dennis Redmoon Darkeem on the Creative Block and Process “When I am in the studio and am blocked from an idea, there are a few things that I do. One is to meditate listening to jazz, classical music, or nature sounds. I go through my sketchbook to sketch some or any ideas and will also look through a magazine or watch one of my favorite TV shows to get inspired. However, my ritual before creating is to go through a process of researching and gathering colors, shapes, and textures, which will begin forming the narratives for my works.” - Dennis Redmoon Darkeem
