Open Sessions Artist 2018-20: Johanna Unzueta on the Creative Block and Process
.
“I look at very different topics. Most of the time I look into my books or documentary movies. I listen to a lot of music and try to go to nature as much as possible. I like going to the Botanical Garden in a new city I get to visit. I also enjoy walking around the city to look at its architecture as a way to understand its history. I love looking at old industrial buildings, their windows, and all of its details either small or large. In the end, however, I always look to my work: the colors, the pigments, etc.” - Johanna Unzueta
