Fred Tomaselli (b. 1956) is an American artist who has a unique way of working in collage and painting to create pre-modernist and illusive compositions on wood panel. Using varnishes and epoxies to seal unorthodox materials like prescription pills and hallucinatory plants onto the panel, which is also assembled with cut-out pictures from magazines, Tomaselli constructs fantastical and beckoning collage works.
