Open Sessions Artist 2018-20: Sharon Madaneswhen did you decide to become an artist, and why?
.
“When I was five years old, my mother bought me a picture book about Picasso. It traced his life and his early start as an artist. I learned that when Picasso was a child, he drew constantly, recording everything around him using his pencil. I remember being inspired by his commitment and thinking at the time, this is what I want to do. I’ve kept a sketchbook since. The “why”part of this question I’m still trying to figure out.” - Sharon Madanes
