ALO and FLO: “Since 2006 we have been extracting notes from our sketchbooks, images from periodicals, reference notes, and responsive sketches which are collaged and printed on large rolls of paper. Our central question is how to reconfigure reality with pictures by collapsing drawing and writing.” . JC: “Like my teaching, I make space for the viewer to question issues by creating compositions with multiple perspectives, adding and subtracting text which produces a residue of marks and language.” .
