Open Sessions Artist 2014-15: Patte Loper 〰
“I'm interested in what it means to take a fleeting cultural moment, a film still, a magazine article and slow it down, render it carefully, spend time with it, insert my point of view. It is a meditation on different types of expression as well as the compression and expansion of time.” -Patte Loper 〰
Patte Loper lives and works in Brooklyn and Boston. Her work has been shown at Allene Lapides Gallery, Santa Fe; Coos Art Museum, Coos Bay; and Platform Gallery, Seattle. 〰
