Open Sessions Artist 2014-15: Andrew Ross “I try to make works that approach a state of being, teetering between image and object. Drawing is the mediator, which works in tandem with physical constraints to arrive at a balance between the materials and the image.” -Andrew Ross
Andrew Ross lives and works in Brooklyn. His work has been shown at American Medium; Artists Space; The James Gallery at CUNY Center for the Humanities; The Studio Museum in Harlem; False Flag; Signal Gallery (all in New York); and Chassis at Clima Gallery, Milan.
Open Sessions is a two year artist program of interdisciplinary events and exhibitions focused on drawing, organized by Rosario Güiraldes and Lisa Sigal.
