A Page from the #DrawingPapers Archive This page from Drawing Papers 71 features “Untitled (#56)”, drawn with pencil on paper by #SallyTittmann in 2007. Tittmann’s work was part of a #ViewingProgram group show called Non-Declarative Art, curated by Luis Camnitzer in 2007. The intention of the show was to gather a group of drawing-based artists who were intelligently exploring the non-emission or the minimization of information. Cramitzer writes of Tittman’s work: “For the last several years she has been drawing indefinable creatures. Somewhere between a rock and a potato, they read alternately as living and non-living matter and point to an idea of the original state of the universe.
