"Susan York: Foundation" opens Friday October 13th with an opening reception Thursday, October 12th from 6-8pm 〰 For the third long-term installation presented in The Drawing Center’s Lab Corridor, Santa Fe-based artist Susan York created a site-specific installation that references the internal structure of the museum’s 35 Wooster Street building. Using graphite as a sculptural rather than a two-dimensional medium, York fabricated replicas of parts of the museum’s foundation: eroded granite piers that protrude above the museum’s ground floor.
