On view: "Where Do We Stand? Two Years of Drawing with Open Sessions", the second whole-group exhibition of the Open Sessions program. Wed-Sun 12-6pm | Thurs 12-8pm through September 17 〰
Ezra Wube, originally from Addis Ababa, presents a work that explores the experience of immigration: the title refers to “paper” as in a legal document, as in paperwork, while “plates” refers to the geological term plate tectonics. Together, the elements of the piece recall the aspects of the self that may be “discarded” as one adapts to new surroundings 〰
