Captured in “The Beautiful Brain,” these drawings, along with descriptions of the neural functions, illustrate the beauty of the physical body in a nonconventional way. Informative and aesthetically pleasing, Cajal’s work is explored in numerous contexts in essays by scholars in both arts and science fields.
