It is a symbol, and the more profoundly the imaginary lines of projection meet higher dimensions, the better” - Paul Klee 〰 Artist Paul Klee (1879-1940) recorded the events in his life from ages 19 to 40 which were published in 1964 as “The Diaries of Paul Klee.” His diary introduces us to his multifaceted personality and other forms of expression, especially his drawings. The drawings read like stand alone finished works that parallel the idiosyncratic Expressionist and Surrealist aspects of his paintings. Passages regarding travel, music, and art show Klee’s influences as well as insights into his own artistic processes.
