"Marginalia: Open Sessions 10" is on view Wed-Sun 12-6pm | Thur 12-8pm through June 11. The artists in this exhibition view borders and barriers as material through which to build new avenues of both trespass and solidarity. Marginalia features Daniel Bejar, Ana Peñalba, Sue Ka, Carolyn Lambert, Srinivas Mangipudi, Irini Miga, and Rodrigo Valenzuela. Srinivas Mangipudi fills notebooks with invented graphemes, recalling ancient (or future) texts to be decoded and interpreted, or children’s handwriting practice. Mangipudi uses these experiments between drawing and writing as a method for cognitive and spiritual investigation. He often leaves the notebooks in public places where they might be discovered; hence the project title Lost to be Found.
