The 2003 exhibition Mappings of Being presented the drawings of three #ViewingProgram artists who explored visual and philosophical approaches to mapping as a way to position oneself in the world: Maria Bussman (New York/Germany), Christoph Fink (Belgium), and Bogdan Hoffman (Germany). Christoph Fink’s paper landscapes or overlay of sketches, carbon-copy drawings, photographs, paper cut-outs, maps, and statistical notations presented in different shapes, sizes, and colors are culled from hundreds of notes scrawled in a small carbon notebook that accompanies him as he moves throughout his day.
