#MuseumInstaSwap 2017 and The Drawing Center is giving you an inside look at our neighbor the New Museum newmuseum.
This is our second post on The New Museum new exhibition of
#CarolRama that opened today. Despite definite similarities in subject to Italian feminist movements of the 1960s, Rama maintained a distance from artistic movements from her beginnings as a self taught teenager to her later experimentation with the Concrete Art movement and the neo avant-garde. She was consistently an outsider, never fully associated with nor tied to a single community of visual artists.
